"Genesis" Owner/Capt. Jeff Fraser
43’ Norseman
 Born and raised on Cape Cod, MA, Captain Jeff Fraser, caught the fishing bug at a very young age. He has fond memories of fishing for striped bass, bluefin tuna and swordfish with his Dad and brothers in Vinyard Sound and Buzzard’s Bay.
Jeff and his wife Nan moved to South Florida in 1982 to pursue Jeff’s dream of becoming a Charterboat Captain. Jeff worked in the Hospitality Industry while working as a part-time mate on the waters off Ft. Lauderdale. In 1992, the couple moved to Islamorada, the fishing capital of the world, where Jeff earned his captain’s license. While working for a large retailer in Islamorada, Jeff continued to work in his spare time as a mate and a fill-in captain. In 1999, he began working on a full-time basis aboard the Genesis. After working for four years as both mate and part-time captain, Jeff saw his dream come true. when he was given the opportunity to buy the Genesis and become the owner and full-time captain.
Captain Jeff has had many wonderful experiences on the Genesis including the summer of 2001 when the Genesis team caught 6 marlin in just 6 weeks (a record for the area.)
Live-bait sailfishing and off-shore dolphin fishing are Jeff’s favorites, but he’ll take his customers fishing for whatever’s biting. Jeff’s highest priority is giving his customer’s a great day on the water.
The Genesis is available for 1/2, 3/4, full day and sunset and evening shark and tarpon trips. You can charter the Genesis for private or “split” charters. Visit the Genesis’ website at genesischarters.com.
